Platium Met. Clio Van Project!!

Ok, this is my first project thread i done before so here we go....

About a month ago, i traded my escort van in for this clio van as iv started a new job and drive 80miles a day, its a 02 Clio 1.5 DCi Van and its got 60,000 mile on the clock i got her for £2000, Bargin!! It come complety standard.

I Did spary up the back and front badges up black, but had to replace them with new ones from the scrap yard as we have the most poohest lacquar ever (Waterborne Lacquar) will be geting some proper 2k lacquar soon then ill redo them!

I also pick up a painted boot botton/badge from the scrap yard and replace my standard plastic one and picked up some painted wing mirror covers.

Next i had to upgrade my headunit, i had a standard renault tape player and was using a FM transmiter to play my ipod. so i went on to ebay and pick up this lovely apline ipod headunit just for £190 brand new, Bargin

Ive also upgraded my headlight blubs and put some ice white ones in.

Well thats its so far as i got..... Let us no what you think!

I forgot to post that i sanded my front lights down and worked up the grades of papers then gave them a polish!!

UPDATE.......

The start of the week at work, we had a Audi A4 come in with an ipod dock in it, so i just had to have it :approve: and i striped it down and bonded my ipod cable in to it.

Then i striped my dash out to put my steering wheel control lead in the back of my headunit.

After i wired it to the headunit, i bonded the ipod dock into my glove box and wired it all up....

Thanks guys for the coments!! Sorry its been a while, been working hard and got a load of wheels i got to paint up at work as well as my 40hrs:S!

Ok i have updates on my clio......

Well a few weeks ago a little clio come in to our work which someone p/x so i deside to swap my poo spolier, amber indercators and plastic grey dash trim for a sporter spolier, clear indercators and a metal finish dash trim, lol :approve:

And Yesterday at work i colour coded my door mouldings!

This Friday at work im going to colour code the spolier i got and im still debating on colour coding the bumpers 2......?
Anyway that is all at the moment, comments would be great!! Cheers Guys!

Thanks dude, yea tell me about it just looked messy, i was going to make a fiberglass dock and bulid it into the dash some how, but im so glad i got the dock out of that audi lol

Hello guys sorry i havent replyed for a while....... got some updates....... Picture of my spoiler colour coded.

And i pick up some brand new coilovers so she'll be sat very nicely

Have'nt fitted yet, Next week time!

And last but not least i got a Clio DCi 80 bph Intercooler and the pipes off eBay for £35! will try fit tomorrow...... anyone have a guide to fitting a intercooler??

I've been looking at a clio DCI for a commute car.. and it seems you can get clio DCI Vans like £1000 cheaper then a 5 seater lol

Yea but the only downside of the Clio van is it dont hit the £35 tax bracket, but the 5 door and 3 door do!

Would you be able to tell me what you did step by step. and what items you bought and what tools you used. this is what I want to do.

UPDATE....

Today i fitted my 80bhp intercooler, i got say it was'nt that bad to fit has taken me a good 5 to 6 hours, i didnt have a clue what i was doing:S but thanks to a guide i saw on http://www.cliodci.net it helped loads!!

£115.50 and thats for 6months, the real reason i wanted a clio was for the mpg and cheap tax but i drove 2 and half hours to see my van and i thought sod it, I LOVE IT lol.

All i did was pinched an i pod dock out of a new audi a4 that we had at work and then striped it down and was left with the plastic bit then i got my ipod cable and bonded it to the bottom and then bonded it to the top of the glove box and fed the wires though the back, easy lol. Only thing is it will be really hard to get hold of an audi ipod dock, i work as a spray painter in a large sales place so it was quite easy for me, hope that helped!

Well iv just bided on a sports grill on ebay (Fingers Crossed) ill get it, but i dont no if i shud get the hole kit.... i like that white clio van thats about with the sports front end and the roof box but i dont no if it would look good with the colour of mine (632).....?????

Update.......

Got my intercooler sorted looks like ill be keeping it on

and yesterday I fitted my coilovers and its sitting much nicer will drop it abit more when the coilovers set.

Just need some nice wheels now, I'm thinking some dishes, maybe bobert A's???

Borbet A's. AST Cups.

You need to get rid of the mudflaps though. I think they ruin the car.

Also really think you should go for the sport bumpers, wings etc. would look top.

I don't no if I'm feeling Ats cup..... I don't no everyone seems to puting the sports kits on, mite just colourcode my bumpers. The mud flaps will be gone

Update......

Right yesterday I sprayed my bumper up.....

.....and I'm not feeling it at all, so iv just bought 2 out of 4 bits of the sports kit

the rear bumper and skirts and ill buy the wings and front bumper at the end off the month.

Hey guys its been a while so time for a little update.......

Yesterday i desided to spray my roof liner black, and it looks great much better then the standard grey...
