Polish and pad combination for shagged black paint

Just agreed to have a crack on an old but loved black escort. Its solid black but swirled and marred like the 182 in brazo's thread. Whats to good pad and polish combo to sort out black as all my stuff is lighter colours.

menzerna IP or 3.02 on sfx yellow pad followed by final finish on a finishing pad for me mate. really into these menzernas now, big difference to the megs 82 and 80 i used to use.

Menzerna here too, its great, not worked on a car yet it hasn't improved massively.

IP and 3.02 are the same thing. The older stuff was PO91L

Menzerna Intensive Polish and a cutting pad for sure if it is anything like the 182 Mark sorted. Though if it is really bad you may need to step up to something even more potent !

250ml will easily be enough to do a whole car with plenty left over.

Cheers rich. I'm used to doing the odd bit of correction on my old moonstone 106 so this black will be a test. I may even attempt my mazda if all goes well. Oh yes i also wanted a know what's a good winter wax?

250ml does 2 and a bit cars...Roughly..

Depends how much you use, I have done at least 4 (one being Mustang) with my bottle and still have plenty left. Once that pad is primed I only seem to need to add a tiny blob extra per panel.

I use more than a tiny blob thats for sure. And i spritz the pad fairly frequently.

I did ColinG's vee, the R32 and a bit of Alan's 197 before it was gone...
