Powdercoating Rear Beam problem

Now I'm sure during the process it'll endure high temperatures, would this mean for me to remove the bushing for the rear roll bar (if it's removable) if not can a replacement be sourced?

Stupid question here... Could I risk leaving the bush on whilst it gets shot blasted and powdercoated.

Thanks
Mat.

I had mine done 2 week's ago.

I removed everything and got the bits done with the beam.
The rubber bush comes out, there is a split at the back.

Plus I may purchase a new bush as I've stretched it a little. Do they play a big role?

Here's the Product number for anyone.

It just stops the bar knocking on the beam.
It will be fine matey.

Debating it OEM bushes seem same price-ish, aftermarket are £25 a pair.

OTH powerflex need welding in or is that aswell as the lower wishbone? I can weld just no access.

Sweeet I only have bearing pullers and a limp vice, is it a bench job?

I did it on my drive, cut the center of the old bush out (the rubber part). I used a sharp chisel, hammer and lube so that the chisel didnt get stuck in the rubber bush.
Then cut a slot in the steel outer, i used a hacksaw.

Then just hit with hammer.

Like so.

To fit the new Powerflex bushes, i used strong Loctite on the alloy outer and tapped/dressed it in with a bit of wood so not to damage the alloy.

The polly bush just pushes it.

Job done. :D
^^^Now thats beam + bush p**n.

Very nice

Thanks matey.

Nice work

Why thank you. :approve:
