power cap help!please........

Hello,

I have just recieved a 1.0 farad cap i ordered but it doesnt include any instructions which is rather generous? Is anyone able to enlighten me in this area which im rather in the dark about? Any good sites about please?

Do i charge the cap with the resistor, then wire positive in to positive terminal with another from the positive to the amp then the separate earth from negative on the cap to earth point?

i do hav a good site about this, but not here unfortunatly, i will try and post it up l8r wen i get home.

basically u hav ur positive from the battery goin to the positive terminal on the cap, then from there to the positive on ur amp. then just earth the negetive terminal on the cap.

i think you have answered my question mate, so the negative gets earthed but the the positive terminal has two wires attached, one to the cars supply, one to the amp???
