Powerline Networks

Car  172 Silver Cup
I have a computer in my Kitchen which is conected wirelessly. Only trouble is I only get low or very low signal. Have tried various routers and adaptors, no luck. Guess its the 2 foot thick stone walls. I have now seen these powerline networks. Plug into your router then into a electric socket, it carries the signal, then pick it up anywhere in house. How well do these work? Will the speed be good?? Anyone with any advice?
