when i bought my little puddle jumper in 2002 i ordered her on the 21st October 2002, i picked her up on the 30th November 2002 and a few months after that i still had no vehicle docs, it then turned out the dealer Parks had pre registered her on the 28th November, i then got the car changed into my name with effect 30th November so that in fact looks like it was only theres for 2 days......apart from being so feckin pissed off with the feckers they explained that as i ordered the day the new 2003 range had been launched and for the price (£8390) i paid they had to register it as if it was theres???

to cut to the chase when i go to sell chloe the clio will it affect the sale value that in theory any new buyer will be the 3rd owner?

Are the dates of the owners on your V5 logbook ? If so I wouldnt worry.

date of registration 28.11.2002

last change of keeper 30.11.2002

i do still have the receipt/order form for proof i ordered car on the 21.10.02.

so do you reckon i will have to lower any asking price as like i said any owner would be the 3rd owner?

with the car infact being second hand, would VAT be applicable?

I wouldnt think so, not with the dates on ya logbook, but like someone told me on a topic I posted on missing my VIN sticker thing, people will use anything to haggle the price. just make sure while you have it you get it serviced an whatnot.

well i will be selling her with less than 10,000 miles and over a year left on warranty so hopefully i can get the £5500 i hope for!

i dont use mine much either, almost 2 yr old (come june) and i needed some warranty work so I had a service too (2 year one/18.000 miles one) cost £180. Anyway front pads are 20% worn and still got 7mm tread. (under 9K done) I should get out more but long hours mean I dont, I dont think it would be worth me getting something like a 172 with how much I use it at the mo.
