  Ph1 track 172
144.7 at the hubs,
equates to around 155 atf

now has williams manifold and ph1 172 airbox with green cotton filter,
so might even be 155.1!!

Ok well im bored so i guess ill update this thread!!

its come rather a long way since the last main piccys!

ive decieded not to go for a 172/willaims widetrack atm because the car needs to be completely reshelled!! (epic rust issues!!)

in the new year i plan to be reshelling her into a mk2!!

since the previous pictures car has had

Cambelt
waterpump
tensions
clutch cable
driveshafts
williams exhaust manifold
ECU with 7000 limiter
inlet gasket
non-pas rack
all brackets to remout the alternator,
rear battery conversion
mk2 ph1 airbox with green cotton filter
ktec 285mm brake conversion
15mm front spacers,

manual winding windows
carbon fibre door cards
fixed rear windows
Bucket seats
3" 4point harnesses
cage painted black
tar removed
Sabelt renaultsport steeringwheel

various purple bits + sitckers :D
aerocatches

various interior strippage + switches + gauges

now i just want to find a mk2 ph1 nonsport with a mint body and snapped cambelt, ive researched most aspects and with a few of my clio enthusiast friends involved, i dont think it will be too complicated!!
only real worry is the wiring, but i plan to keep the valver dash so this shouldnt be too complicated!

Non-sport?

Explain?

Ph1's with buggered engine's are currently around £500-£750, you could sell the bits you don't want and it'd probably cost the same as a non sport.

  Ph1 track 172
yees non-sport,

ph1 nonsports with buggered engines can be bought for around £200!
and theres plenty of them about,

I dont want it to look like a sport, people will be expecting sport power!!
nonsports can be picked up with manual rack and winding windows and such which i would have to convert to later with a sport,
plus when you convert cars, for some reason you keep the same tax bracket :D £120 tax a year on a 2.0 ftw!!

You and I both know it won't look ass good though.

Fair enough colour coded etc looks ok, but you can't beat the front end on a ph1 172... I do hear you though.

  Ph1 track 172
i do hear you rob, the ph1 172 front end does look lovely imo, (favourite clio of them all)

but ive never condoned rep mobiles
especially when theyre slower than the real deal!
