Hi, All

The project starts here.....

I joined the forum when i was 18 im now 23. Life started off on the forum with a 2004 1.2 blue clio, the car itself was an awesome car never had a fault but crashed it once (not at fault) then the car caught fire a few months after. I then turned to the dark side.... and bought a 2006 3dr Astra. The car again was a lovely car but was ridden with faults. I went through 4 clutch and fly wheels kits and lots of other bits i wasnt happy with. I wrote the car off in feb 2011 when i lost it on a oil patch. I always wanted a sport so a hunted around and found a 2005 Titanium with only 27k only the clock being an ex disability car i nabbed it and agreed with the dealer a full service and all belts changed.

Recently i have'nt spent much time or money on the car and its looking slighty sorry for itself. So the past two weeks ive been like a kid in a toy shop ordering parts non stop.

The list is as follows....

Carbon Bullets
Carbon front badge
Carbon Exhaust surrounds
Carbon gear insert
Carbon dash strips
Carbon steering wheel insert
Carbon Dial Surround
KTR De-cat
Exhaust fitting kit
KTR front grooved disks
Ferodo front pads
OEM rear disks
EBC rear pads
RS tuner
Ali footrest
Tow eye strap
V6 airbox
Trophy wheels
Gulf oil and filter
NGK plugs
Gaskets
Calliper Paint
02 Sensor
Coolant temp sensor
Coolant
CS tax disk holder
CS stickers
Tpi bolts

Parts still to obtain
Trendlines
Sportslines
Carbon Splitter
Carbon rear bumper insert
Painted engine cover
Green samco induction hose
Green samco coolant hoses

All these bits will be fitted tomorrow with a bit of luck me and my mate will attack it at his garage really cant wait to get my hands mucky and tidy the car up. I have gone for a green theme which you will see shortly ;)

Pics to follow....

Enjoy

Right... Now I know how to upload pictures properly I can do a proper right up.

Progress has moved on a hell of a lot from when I last posted, bought some nice bits along the way...

An rs tuner :), I couldn't recommend these kits enough. Straight away I noticed an improvement, pulls a lot harder and smoother.

I've always loved carbon so I had a word with carbon central and he sorted me out for a few goodies, some bits I had before waiting to go on.

That was enough carbon for now :p. although I wanted the overall look of the car to my personal taste lots of little thing were annoying me. Poor MPG, brakes needing doing, blows in the cat join. The car needed a really good overhaul really so I bought some maintenance bits to compliment her looks ;) lol.

Some new rear disks and pads, I went for genuine disks and ebc ultimax pads

I had already fitted the front disks and braided lines all round I bought from ktec a few months before hand but I just couldn't get on with the CL pads so I bought a set of ferodo's

a3fed60f15d1bdcfcd902d2e5997e6c8.jpg

thats the stopping power sorted!!

Onto the poor MPG I had read on herein could be a number of things so I ruled everything out!!

Two lambda sensors were on the list

coolant temp sensor

As I was mucking around with the coolant it would of been rude not to change the coolant

i accidentally hit the bottom on a decat to...... Whoops

Some generally maintenance might as well of been done to

Right that was all the bits to get her running sweet again!! Onto more of the looks parts. I was after a set of wheels as mine had been badly badly badly scuffed thanks to my lovely father lol. So he offered he'd get them returned for me. I put some money's together myself to and gave Kay a ring at renparts and asked what she had...... After a couple of weeks these turned up at the girlfriends house ;)

dun dun dun.....

A genuine set of freshly trophy wheels with a decent set of pilots all round :) one happy man I was!!

I bought a few extra cosmetic bits along the way...

So the day had come when I had some time and my mates garage was free of space. The night before the little titanium was awaiting its transformation. Little did it know what it was destined to be...

I arrived at my mates garage and unloading a shed load if parts ready for the big day. Oh and I forgot about the v6 air box to ;) lol

Then a couple of coats of green calliper paint and the side bullets fitted
image_zps74a9a633.jpg

The I between stages I didn't really get pics of. Whilst I was playing about with the engine I gave it a lick of paint, there's plenty more being done here in around a month. ;) watch this space

Yh I'm desperate for some lows. Any suggestions? I want coilovers ideally but I don't want the crashyness.

Things to come next month:

paint engine cover in pearl Kawasaki green
carbon battery cover
paint fuel rail guard black
carbon fog surrounds
gear gaiter with green stitching
green samco bend

thanks for the comments and advice guys. I have a few other pics I may post in a bit

Depends how low you want it really.. Personally I would go for CookSport springs and Cup shocks. Great stance and ride quality!

Seconded, I have an Iceberg 172 with Trophy Speedlines and Cooksport springs. Looks and feels great.

This makes me think I need to get to work on my calipers... 92k miles has taken its toll.

Looks good, but deffinetley needs a drop. Also what exhaust have you got on? Looks strange that an old disability car would have had a stainless system put on...

I put that on the day I got it lol out come the angle grinder an hour later. It's a Ktec ultra performance matey. I was looking at the cooksports. Are all coilovers pretty much crashy then?

What would the difference be with cup shocks? And would these fit a non cup? Looking for a setup to possibly get very soon

Just trying to get the car finished as I'm taking the clio to holland the end of march with a few of my mates. So I'm trying to get as much done as poss which has been a bit hard after having a crash in my gfs car on my birthday :(

striped part of the rear out to accommodate the cage I just nought from eBay, also got rid of my old amp wiring kit as its not needed anymore:)

browsing through the parts for sale I noticed adam.w selling a MINT pair of trendlines which I've been after for god know how long... Anyway paid and collected for them a day after he posted lol and all I can say is wow being that they were only 2 years old meant they were mint!! Never seen these in such good condition

So after stripping the interior....

The cars not going full blown track **** as its my daily running. I still wanted it to look fairly smart so I cracked on with making a false floor.

First off out with the jig saw with some help from the old man. :)

.

All snug and fitting how I wanted. I didn't want the wood rattling about so I fixed some underlay on the bottom of both parts.

9915F5FD-6AE0-463C-817E-4DDF5CED1F06-21122-00000401D3738A8E_zpsb638ce32.jpg

this all done I trimmed some carpet to size that I bought off eBay.it took a good few samples later to get a match in with the rest of the interior.

The first section trimmed up.

All done.

Onto the second part.

Help from the mrs :)

All done :)

Then fitted to the car I'm over the moon with the overall fit.

I also got ad from n2graphics to make me up a more personal remembrance decal for my mate as the side window ones were just to big and I wanted something a little more subtle.
