Prolines fitted, knocking started.

Its most likely the top mounts.

The thing I dont get is where does the washer go that sorts it?
Do I have to take the dampers off the car or just undo the top
rubber bit under the bonnet?

Before everyone slags me off for not using the search function,
I've used it for the past 2 days and cant find the answer.

I'm not a grease monkey so dont know all the terms that people have used.

Any help will be appreciated.

sure its the mounts....i thought mine was the mounts...turns out my wheel was about to fall off.

The noise didn't start untill I had my springs changed.

It wasn't there before they were fitted.

sounds like a fitting problem to me, when does the knocking happen?

It knocks when I accelerate and then when I lift off.

It's not a constant knocking its more of a clunk.

Press the peddle (clunk) lift off (clunk).

It doesn't do it when cornering.

sure its not a dodgy engine mount?

Car went in to garage with no clunks, prolines fitted and now it clunks.

I tried to undo the nut at the top of the dampers (under bonet) and it wont move, really tight!
Its not meant to be like that is it?
Ive read its just meant to be hand tightened.

The noise is definately coming from the corners where the top mount is.

I bought the springs months ago and only recenly saved enough
money to get them fitted £60.
