Prospeed Exhaust - How Much?

  Renaultsport Clio 182
Hi all,

just wondering how much your Prospeed Cat back exhausts set you back, including fitting?

Charlie has quoted me £498 all in for design, fabrication, fitting , VAT etc etc and choice of tail pipe and sound. basically a custom system!! :approve:

does this seem about right to you guys? also, what design would be better for power gains - single barrel system (like Yozza) or twin rear box (like milltek)

Cheers for any info :D

any reason in getting the Pro-speed over the Milltek/Yozza systems?

My Milltek cost £350 delivered and £40 fitting at the local garage so £390 all in?

also if your gonna spend that much might aswell get the yozza as I've heard they are fantastic systems?

no reason really it's just a few people have recommended them to me and it's only down the road from where i work.

i also heard a soundclip of one on youtube and it sounded the nuts

Looks like Charlie has put his prices up since I was there. Swear I paid circa £300 for my cat back stealth about two years ago. Are you going for the visible pipe? (therefore requiring bumper cut etc) That has always bumped up the price a bit.

FWIW My stealth is perfect for me. Reasonably muted in normal driving but howls when wanging it. This is with a sports cat which increases resonance. K-tec stealth I had before that was too boomy around 3k. Never experienced any other off the shelf exhausts so cannot comment how mine compares.

The 182 system will be dearer as it's more complicated than the 172 system!

My Prospeed I had on my phase 1 172 was the only system I've ever had where it had not been adjusted at any point in it's existence.

I miss it so much :(

i've got a 182 mate so the pipes will be visible and as you know the bumper is already equipped with cut outs

IMO if you not too far away from Pro Speed ( which you aren't) I'd get it done, so if you got any problems you can easliy go back and get it repaired.

Where as if you buy else where and get it fitted some where else, it will cost you more in the long run.

^^^good point well made! would save myself a bundle in fuel if something did go t!ts up!!! i'll save a bit more and then have a word with Charlie.
