They all seem a bit high to be honest.

My valver does 1/4 mile in mid 15s and craggys vts in high 14s:eek:

ALL completly standard remember & probably timed using the 1k rev starts or whatever.

But in comparison is whats important IMO.

  clio 20v

hehe but craggys is a monster i bet u dont see many mildly modded ones doin a time like that

plus some valvers are quicker than others aarons is a quick 1

jon slapped a cossie on one of his runs at york but then got ate up by a modded 4x4 saff hehe

adi

  mk2 172

15.60 to be exact:) cud av got lower if id not only ad one dry run, but pod was a long drive home and ad to go in afternoon

Well its about as accurate as Manufaturers 0-60s & 0-100s which we know are often out once run in.

So its agreed; a standard 16v should be doin 16.7 & the Willy/VTS 16.1?

I think ill need a new gearbox b4 i can get down to the POD as i dont fancy being toed home from there if it goes!

Take half a second off those times, and theyre all about right. Well apart from the Skyline. Once youre in the 12 second bracket thats a proper fast car and I dont think a standard Skyline is anywhere near that good.

Yeah, that site is a collection of various data from allsorts of places...

A lot of manufacturers figures and the odd mag test in there, but I dont think theyve tested any themselves...

most cossies were running low to mid 14s @ york when i was there (i think). As Adi says, jon beat one in his turbocharged Williams....

Quarter mile rivals just go by the manufacturers claims they dont even test the cars. They say 106 gti is 16.5 and its exactly the same as a vts, i got 15.5 in my standard gti b4 zorst and induction kit went on.

Well ive beat 2 106s in my more or less standard Valver & would only expect to get 16 dead on a good run.

VTSs are faster than 106 GTis IMO & with my experiance racing them.

I think some of the times have been got by putting power/weight info into a formula. I think we all know that the Willy will crack the 16sec barrier, probably 15 sec - as standard. And where the hell did they get that shocking 16v time from??

That depends whether you have a good one or a bad 106/vts. Some of them run 120 bhp or below as standard like my mates whose was running just over 100 bhp when he bought it then the rr tuned it back up to 120bhp but mine and some other gtis and vts (craggys) run 135-140bhp without any mods or just an induction kit.

Despite my dislike of the skyline - they are quite quick... as this http://www.racingflix.com/downloadvideo.asp?v=327video shows...

P.S. Be warned its about 17Mb ;)

  williams and trophy

my old valver in standard trim ran a best time of 15.9

the williams as you all know is capable of a 14.6 run as standard

standard in both cases is a de-cat n powerflow zorst with k&n filters.....induction kit on the valver panel on the williams.

mailto:lol@paddys">lol@paddys turbocharged hehe
