Quick question about high spec clios

I see an 04 plate clio on my travels sometimes. Its metallic black with the anthracite 7/8 spoke alloys but one thing that stands out are the renault badges. They are all painted in a gold colour. Now my friends friend thinks theyve been painted but i dont think so. Does this mean its had optional extras put on? ie suspension setup, etc...

Only ask because as i thought some of you on here might know the answer

yeh they would of been painted on, 04 plates on all clios come in chrome/silver badges, thats something that he has done.

If it's an 04 it's probably either a 172 or 182.

172 then there's no options for suspension, just Satnav, 6 cd changer

182 has the option of the Cup suspension (and alloys) and/or Cup spoiler packs.

Either way the badge on all Renaults is silver. Gold badges is tacky if you ask me.

its definitely a 182, it has the twin tailpipes at the back 10inches from each other in the centre.

the badge on the front and all the ones on the wheels are gold. it looks ok i think. i saw it again today parked up this time.

I think gold badges on a black gold 182 could look ok TBH especially if the rear badges could be all chromed up gold looking.
