Raceland Coilover Supplier ....

Not sure whether there is some kind of conspiracy on selling clio Raceland coilovers in the UK, but for anyone who wants these ...

It might be worth trying Tuningleader on eBay; thats where i got the Racelands for my e36, its also where 99% of people (except clio owners it would seem) get there Raceland/TA Technix coilovers from ...

http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/tuningleader/

They are in Europe, but the kits normally turn up within a couple of days.

May be worth seeing if they also sell the clio ones :)

Wasn't it a ktec issue?

They were charging more than the ebay seller was.

I think it's something to do with certin major Clio companies wanting to supply them, so they've stopped...

Oh and whats up with the "failsport" Dave? What I miss?

Seen this place on ebay. I'm getting a tad desperate for coilies, my rear shock is banging a fair bit now.

Ktec only stock the + £500 stuff. They don't know when their own brand coilies will be back in.:dapprove:

My suggestion would be contact all the people on the following link:

The cheap e36 3 series coilovers are all made by Raceland/Hottuning/TA Technix and are all the same - its been proven & time again on the e36 forum. So id get in contact with everyone on the list, someone will have them ...

Schoolboy French:

Bonjour, avez-vous le raceland/hottuning/TA technix coilover pour le clio 172 ou 182. Merci beaucoup, Dave ...

This kind of stuff is the kind of french they should teach at school. Not "What i did at school today".

No lol, one of the people that are selling the various E36 coilovers (hottuning,Raceland,TA Technix, which are all the same make) will have stock of RS Clio items also.

What's the conspiracy here then?

A certain Clio Sport performance specialist snapped these all up?

If anyone does find out some inside info on these, please pm me.

I've had to park the Clio on the road as the oil from my shocker is wrecking the drive haha

is it not 54mm on a 1*2?

either way would it be completely stupid idea to buy them and mill them down so the hole match??

KTEC had some on their website for £250 yesterday as a limited stock thing, I was tempted but I saw the Ebay ones for £160  i'd snap up a set if they carried RS ones.

Well, i've now got a response from tuning leader and unfortunately they 'cant get hold of the 1*2 version anymore' ... strange that.

Not bothered contacting anyone else on the list - ill leave that up to you guys :)

I don't think Ktec can get hold of them either at the moment. Whilst their pricing is their own business, I don't think they've cut off the supply.

The more sensible answer is that these have been available for a length of time, but once they were found up for sale by the original ebay guy the entire stock of them sold reasonably quickly and Raceland simply haven't made anymore. Suppy and demand, they'll be back soon I suspect, as soon as Raceland realise there is money to be made.

Yeah this is really pissing me off recently

I've been waiting to buy some coilovers for 6+ weeks

Ktec secured the contract to supply 172/182 raceland kits but now magically they can't get hold of them anymore - they haven't got any KTR kits in stock even though their website says they do

It seems like we're all being pushed into buying the more expensive kits - which is just stupid :(

Guys,

Just to keep you updated regarding the Raceland stock situation. When we purchased the remaining stock of Raceland Coilovers, we did so knowing that they would not be putting more into production. The Clio B RS (1*2) is only a really big seller in the UK, even compared to France!

Raceland were more than happy for us to take their remaining stock as they were only selling very small quantities in comparison to their other offerings, VW and Peugeot/Citroen being their largest range.

Raceland have no intention of producing any more kits, they have confirmed this to us.

I must assure the membership, this is not a conspiracy, this is a supplier who has stopped producing a product. We made very clear we would have limited stocks of these items, did a group buy and sold the balance through the website. We regret we are unable to offer this kit anymore, but we will be getting our KTR Coilover kits back into stock within the coming weeks.

Sean.

At no point during the group buy was it stated that this was an end-of-line item that would never be back in stock..

It was advertised as a limited run at that price.

I'm sure its completely out of your hands - but you must see it from our point of view
The raceland kit seemed to be nearly identical to the KTR kit and a few others - it almost seemed like the same factory was making kits for various suppliers.
You guys got an exclusive deal with raceland and now suddenly they aren't making any more - but you're still getting a new batch of the KTR coilovers in

Conspiracy nuts are bound to go nuts over that as it looks like you've killed off a competitor to push your own product

Either way personally I don't give two hoots - I've got a show and a load of track days coming up, money sat in my bank and I wan't to buy some coilovers - I just wish someone had some in stock LOL

Fuzzy,

If it has taken you 6 weeks + to press the add to basket button on our site, meaning you have missed the stock of Raceland Coilover we had, i'm afraid I cannot help that.

We always stated stock was limited, we enquired about more, we were told no more available - End of story. We did not have an exclusive contract to supply Raceland products in the UK, there are plenty of companies doing this already. We simply bought the remaining kits from Belgium in one go, saving on shipping and ensuring a sensible level of stock. We had run out of our kits at the time, an ideal stop gap for budget coilovers in our range, which we did sell through very quickly.

Sean.

When did you know that they had decided to cease production?

Before or after the group buy was created?

I asked if I could buy KTR coilovers - was told they were out of stock and raceland were all you had
So I left it a few weeks to read up on raceland ones (after emailing you asking if they were warrantied and got no reply)

After reading a few reviews and seeing the feedback from the group buy - I decided to buy some - and were told they were now out of stock but the KTR ones would be back in 6 weeks

So I just gave up

I'm not gonna click "buy now" on your website without checking stock levels - as your site currently says KTR coilovers are in stock but you've said on here they aren't and wont be until mid May. I don't want to hand over £300+ and then have to sit and wait 4 weeks - as I could be using that money to buy other stuff and then pay you when you actually have something you can send out

Yes it's definatly the way it looks to me

Coilovers identical to Ktec ones appear on ebay far far cheaper, then *some stuff* happens from Ktec which has been described as "sole UK supplier" and other various ways using UK warranty as an excuse for a price hike. Now suddenly they are discontinued but the Ktec ones aren't

Just seems off
Also a bit weird that they were sold with a full UK warranty but are now totally discontinued - so that's fun!
