1.2 Paris :(
Hey guys, my mum bought a R reg clio 1.2 paris last week with a Phillips RC 169 cassete player, she had her only key taken from her handbag and had to get the clio dealer to recode the immobilisor and give us a new key!
After that i drove it for a bit because my mini popped a headgasket again (lol) and turned the radio on, it played badly through one speaker then just cut out! Now every time i turn it on, the backlight on the player comes on but nothing else! i.e radio station numbers or anything. But it does play a really low pitch hummimg noise through the speakers:dead: I rang up renault again and the bloke said that it sounds like the code needs resetting!? Im not entiely sure it does because it worked for about 15 mins before it cut out, but hey i dont know about these cars really!
Does anyone know what the prob might be? To get the security thing changed they want £15, it might not even be that so i just thought id ask here first!
