I ordered a battery off an online battery shop, type 63.

Opens the box, removed my old battery and went to put this new type 63 one in.

It's too damn big it seems.

They sent me a Varta 544 B18 44Ah and it's atleast 4 inches longer than the standard battery.

It's the wrong one isn't it?

sounds like it, i work for andrew page, a motor company, and i think they take the drive master 063 or the 075 < its the code we use to pick the batterys from stock, and i can only match the one in my car, and imagine it to the one ive seen at my work! ring andrew page for a more accurate feedback lol

It does sound too big, does it overflow over the battery caging where it sits ?

It has B18 - 544 402 044 - 440.

Also written on it, it says replace 545 171 042 |543 023 039 |543 201 041

that number is very similar if not a bosch number .. if no one else reply here, i will get the number up and post the correct battery number to you, there are two types we sell, budget ones, and bosch ones, the bosch one is a familiar number to me and i pick many of those for customers, anyway i will post the correct part number to you on here! wont be till 2mor now! cheers
