Rear Brake Fitting Problems (172 Phase1) - Any help appreciated !

I know there is a lot of posts but I have not found an answer & need to otherwise I will miss Le mans 2007!!!

Basically got new discs (Renault all in one job!) on and new pads in holder but the holder (caliper) bolts (2*17mm) are not aligned, they are out by about 2mm.

Do I need to put the holder on first before putting new pads in then put pads in

or

does it sound like the disc is not on correctly.

I have not taken the handbrake cable off yet either.

where are you in the uk?

have you remove the pad retaining springs and locking plate thing?

pad carrier goes on first then the pads go in

if you have the spacer on the wrong way round you'll never get it all to fit back together

London - Which is a pitty otherwise I would of got you to do the whole lot!

Do you know which way round the spacer should be - Much appreciated

Next time I order a load of stuff from you or if your in London buy you a beer

or le mans?

post a pic of the spacer both ways round and i'll tell you which way it goes

IIRC ths got a lip on one side, that should fit facing the wheel bearing

Yep there is a gold lip on one side - That should face the bearing in the disc then .

Thank you for your help, much appreciated !
