Rear discs 182

  Golf GT TDI, IS220d
Hi guys, im thinking of changing my rear discs as im sure they are warped (back end seems to shake a little when breaking at V.slow speeds)

Anyone got any advice on what discs to go for or where to get them at a good price.

The main thing though is i dont know about the bearings - as in how easy are they to take out of the old disc and put into the new disc, or can you just buy the disc with new brearings already pressed in??

Thanks in advance, Gaz

The general consensus seems to be if it's for road use to just stick to the Renault std rear discs mate, they're plenty good enough and have the bearings already pushed in.

Cheapest I could find were at Yozzasport.

I think you'll find Ads speaketh the truth . No need to upgrade , standard discs are fine .

if you press the old bearings out of the old discs and into the new discs 9/10 times you'll knacker them anyway, plus rear bearings in my experience start to go at around 36K depending on useage

Thanks fred, i was thinking about this. Is there any cheeper way than getting them from reno as they're really expensive. Idealy i would like to get the discs with the bearins pressed in

buy all the bits separately and have them pressed together, will save you about £20-£30 but its a lot of hassle
