Rear shocks fooshed?

  Suzuki Ignis
This is on the Golf btw but its a general suspension thing. Im fairly certain the OSR shock is buggered. Rear end has been skittish over bumpy roads recently and it looks like something has leaked over the wheel lining...

Also there was no plastic cover present that sits behind the spring. So gave a little tug on the rubber bit to see if it had somehow got jammed up the top.

The rubber just fell to bits

They've definitely seen better days, leaking or not!

Excuse to get coils, I'd say!

Lol, most of the car has seen better days tbh. But its 20 years old so.

Right coils it is, well I kinda decided ages ago, just needed an excuse to get them. Been looking for a while to as ideally I like to get a cheap second hand pair but these are proving very difficult to get hold of.
