Remove Silver insert (radio) from interior Phase 1

I want to paint the silver inserts, all are peanuts to remove except this piece
Do any of you guys know how to remove this piece (easy) ?

This piece is playing hardball seems to be a :quiet: to remove !

When i remove the top of the dash i can see two clips holding it back, its also nailed to the dashboard somehow (why ? )

I believe its plastic welded on to the dashboard, cannot be removed easily.

So I heard anyway.

That isn't good news i hope there is a way to get it out without to much hassle
