Removing engine cover on 172

Will removing engine cover cause any problems with water getting in the electrics as wiring around the distributer are exposed once off.

Nope . Cups don't have em fitted as standard , too much weight ,lol

Yeah they are soo heavy - i had to help my mate lift his off - he couldn'tmanage it on his own !!

took mine off, apperntly taking it off increases noise, and stops the cover acting as a heat insulator, ergo keeping the engine cool. You can then sell it on ebay for £30

Hmmmmmmm , about as heavy as a couple mars bars ,lol
