Removing Glovebox

Car  2007 MK5 VW Golf TDi
I have done a quick search but haven't found anything...

How do I remove the glovebox? I am fitting my Dension Ipod adapter this weekend and want to put the unit above the glovebox and channel the cable nicely out of site!

Cheers!

No need mate. Remove the stereo, push the two circuit boards away behind the dash, and the dock cable for the ipod can either feed through next to the glovebox light or the hole for the glovebox catch.

Five min job, without taking part or removing anything apart from the stereo.

I removed the silver insert in the end, drilled a hole behind that and fed the cable in there... No one will ever no (Unless they remove the silver insert!!)

Cheers for the advice anyway mate...

Would I be able to use this approach to install my Renault Alpine A42 Cd Changer?
