Wd-40 and when you pull it, push the joint down into the window making it run down the splines

I tried this a few weeks ago. Stuck solid. Gave up in the end.

The easiest way is apparently to get someone with the specialist tool to pull it off.

plaster it in wd40 and then leave it to soak in an give it a few taps with the hammer whilst moving it back and forth. Thats how i got mine off when it was solid

ahh thought they cost more than that..

When people say tap with a hammer, i thought i was pulling it away from the bootlid, so how would you get a hammer behind it ? lol

Cheers

Interesting, i might have to invest in one of those.

Once the wiper is off, can that plate be taken off? As mine has faded in color and looking grey, want to paint it again to make it fresh.

yep..
self explanitory really the hook on the bottom hooks under the wiper arm screw acts against the threaded part on the actual motor do it up pulls the wiper arm off

Give it a few knocks on either side not behind it, it usually loosens at an gets it off the ring thats its seized on.
