removing valver clocks

I am going to replace some bulbs behind the three gauges cluster in the valver.

Took the softtop off but cant get at it as appears to be secured at the bottom?

does this mean I have to take all the grey stuff off below?

looked in the manual which proudly boasts no information regarding removal available at this time. Great those haynes manuals a?

please advise.

Try removing the panel above the stereo then removing the heater knobs ! there might be something in their

No you dont need to remove the heater knobs!!

Once the soft top is off, look at the side of the dials nearest the passenger side and there is a clip on the side at the bottom! This snaps into a grove!! There is also one the other side that you cant get to but dont worry, Just give them a good yank from the bottom at each side n it will come out!!

ok what work the clip out with a screwdriver kind of thing then pull?
