removing xenon/headlight case

As title, I'm in need of cracking open one of my xenons, I bought them for my rep a while ago from a scrappy. However they mustve been left outside as dirty rain has stuck itself on the inside, let's it's down massively.

So, I have access to a proper dewalt heat gun.. Can I melt the sealing glue to "crack" open the case, do what needs to be done then tiger seal back up? Or will heat gunning ruin everything

The guy is annoying but the principle is there:

and remember Fahrenheit is not Celsius. Heat gun may be too hot, I wouldnt risk it..

let me know how it goes as am tempted to do the same.

I was half expecting this guys parents to walk in

"WTF ARE YOU DOING WITH A HEADLIGHT IN THE OVEN?!

This is why we can't have nice things! :weary:"

overall its a good idea but a lot of hassle, I might have to carefully risk the heat gun!
