I think they will have, when I got my third service quoted renault gave similiar figures and I asked them whats involved and they said the tensioner needs to be changed along with the aux belt.
My car had only done 25000 miles so I got it done at another garage without the tensioner being replaced.

I rung around different garages and most said the tensioner was good for 5 years some people said 3years like renault, as my car had only done 25000 i just got it inspected. its been fine since and that was a year ago.

Thats cheap! Just phoned k-tec they can do it for £159+vat for aux/tensioners changed and a good service so might have a little trip down to them

Birchdown are very competitive.
Renault replace the full kit, belts, tensioners, the lot. Alot of other places don't bother with the aux belt tensioner and things like cabin filters etc and most use non gen parts, nothing wrong with that but bare in mind your not always comparing like for like.
Most Renault dealers will do a price match anyway, I certainly do.

k tec are cheap..going to book it in £159+vat...256 mile away from me but if its going to save me £££ might as well....might aswell spend the day down there aswell!!

Rentech, 650 for both kits and 36K full service. half the Re-nowt price!
Im going to order both aux and cam kits from Ktec, approx £280, then get them fitted by a renault specialist near me, approx £300. A mate who is a mechanic said he would fit both for £150 but id rather pay the extra and get them done by a specialist.
