Renault recomended fluids/amounts/grades to be used.

Its not a full list as it only covers the 172/182 and the Mk1 6 (not checked if the Mk2 is the same it will be I'm sure) and the Williams.

It lists
Gearbox oil volume and grade
Brake fluid volume and grade
Fuel tank capacity
Power assisted stearing volume and grade
Coolent type and grade
Engine oil volume (with an without filters) and grade

ALl the figures are the Renault offical ones however with the Williams for example some stuff you cannot get so for example grade D coolent sould be used.

Also the amoutns listed are for a campletly bare engine during an oil chnage you'll rarly need that much as some of the oil will still be in the engine.

The list will get larger some time when I get a chance.

Yep its a big engine to start with plus the radiatos at the front so there all the piping to and from it.

cheers for the adice guys and to edde that pdf was useful managed to get hold of some oil its 5-40w and its halfrauds own lol it will do for now got major oil probs at the min and its ruin my cam there makign a right tickign sound now:dapprove:

Err I'll have to check ages ago i wrote this.

From a guess it was from the old Rencault tech manaual for them or might have been my service book when I get chance will check.
