We did this on my mates years & years ago... looks mint, and improves cooling...Quote: Originally posted by nickg123 on 06 April 2005
i actually modified the Standard grille on mine - just cut all the slats away and left the Renault badge, then just meshed it - everyone thought it was an aftermarket one as it looked so different but i think it suited it well!
pm me when you do sell.....Quote: Originally posted by Rich-D on 06 April 2005

An old pic, has clear indicators and sits on standard rims at the moment.
Will be getting sold this summer though... not got the time, money or space for it now!
Cheers, thats my 2nd one...Quote: Originally posted by Tom20v on 06 April 2005

Looks standard???? I really just dont like the Red Centre caps in the wheels either, but apart from that its just a standard white 5 isnt it?
Err... I wasnt specifically talking about yours mate, I quite like your old one...Quote: Originally posted by nickg123 on 07 April 2005
5s dont have to look "chav" just because theyre not standard!
I just had the bumpers smoothed (recesses filled), full respray in Rover Storm Grey, GT Tuning spoiler, Renault 19 Vent, Bad boy bonnet etc - all was cool at the time trust me lol!
Nothing was really "stuck on the car" except the spoiler, i dont like the huge kits that K-Tec and Carisma have produced over the years, but i think the cars can look much better with a few nice body mods etc.
The spec of the engine was mental - everything had been done except N20,
Would definitely own another one, maybe only push it to 160 bhp as i know they can be reliable like this, but much more and things start to break no matter how much you think theyre strengthened, as i found out!

running a Full T25 .49 A/R exhaust side and .48 Comp side turbo could run 28 psi but the crappy solex carb is holding me back. yer its still a 1.4 but a highly tuned one at that. Re-built it 3 times last yearQuote: Originally posted by melbo on 08 April 2005
