Replaced my engine mount today to find this... cambelt time?

Should I be worried?

The belts were done at 72k before it was in my ownership, looked at the history today to find out it had been done by 'Mr Clutch'.
The paint marks on the pulley make it seem to me like they've been bodged. Not driven another Clio 172 so I've no idea if it's down on power.

Thoughts?

For the sake of a couple of hundred quid I'd get them changed by a specialist personally.

Just take it to someone who knows what they are doing and have the timing checked.

Might be worth getting the timing checked first, half hour job I've read. Then go from there, I never see good reviews for Mr.Clutch.

I've been to Mick before and am impressed with him so seems I will go there. Just didn't want to fork out 600 odd quid for another belt change just cause the timing may be out a couple degrees.

How's it checked with the floating pulley? Do you have to use the locking tools or is there keyways/ markings?

you use a locking pin for the crank which goes in once you take out the blanking plug on the front of the block. then on the 2 blanking plugs on the left hand side of the head comes out and they should be lined up

Get it checked as people on here will tell you and my own experience the slightest timing issues on these makes them drop power. When they're timed up properly you get smoother driving and power delivery more mpg etc. Everything gets better.
