Replacing Cup Seats

I will be replacing my seats soon (hopefully they should be here the end on next week) and have been looking into the problem of the pre-tensioner that when you disconnect the loom to the seats the SERV and AIRBAG lights come on.

All that is required to extinguish (spelling) the lights is a 3.4 Ohm resistor across the 2 pre-tensioner wires in the connector on each seat plus the 2 wires that go to the drivers seat belt clip also need to be linked out to stop the stupid buzzer sounding when you are driving.

Hope this helps.

ok does this actually keep the drivers/pass airbags working?

All the Airbags and Pre-tensioners are on independant circuits so if one goes faulty the rest remain working. As far as the control unit knows it thinks the Pre-tensioners are connected and working.
