Been a while, quite a lot to update
had the paintwork seen to in the summer by Bifcaids to try and match the panels -
new front brake pads, Project MUs and the same cheap grooved discs -
Done a trackday at Oulton park in November, was abit crap as it rained on n off all day just when it was about to get a dry line itd rain again, never bothered with the video camera allday...
The car at Oulton was good again but I missed afew gears on the down changes and was locking brakes up very easy... clutch fluid was black after only 4 trackdays and 18months use so replaced that and rebled it properly before the next trackday, swapping the fluid made the gear changes much smoother. The brakes, ive always hated them on this (air getting in and never really happy with the performance, cracking discs etc) only thing I hadn't replaced on the car was the rear calipers, so after Oulton I decided to swap the master cylinder and servo back to the 96spec one and as I was checking the pads for wear etc the rears had unevenly worn and the dust covers were knackard and the pistons pitted etc so got new calipers and fitted the Blue Stuffs I had ready n waiting with help from f0xy, also knackard another set of discs at Oulton warped over 1mm so they were shot, so ive gone back to blank discs, Blueprints to be exact... so all bled up and bedded in, performance is good but the pedal is long due to swaping the mastercylinder and servo back. Serviced again too.
so the next trackday, which was Snetterton 2 days ago, first time for me really enjoyed it once the track dried out
ignore the temp gauge it has a mind of its own aha (was last on track on the day that's why I'm stopped aha) -
brakes were great all day so really happy with them, don't need to touch them other than the usual rebleed inbetween every trackday.
had 2 spins in the morning as I was fighting for grip, one was at the end of Corum, wiped out all the marker posts going sideways, was dreading seeing the damage after the noise from inside how loud they were, bit annoyed but could've been worse as I was pushing on -
serviced again and antifreezed up for winter -
that's about it, here's my 5minute edit of the highlights from Snetterton - enjoy
