Road to LeMans 2010 (12th/13th June)... you game?

Camping is £60 per pitch, which gives you 1 tent and 1 car.

Then the race entrance ticket will cost you £60 iirc.

If you are skippying with someone please put your name under thiers with the 1st number the same as thiers and the second number the roling total... means can keep an eye on the amaount of cars as well as people :D

oh and i'm sorting teeshirts that will be about 10/12 quid if anyone's interested.... i'm working on it too get them cheap as though so hang fire.

We started sorting out what we'll need to take, I might need a "le mans" box of goodies to keep it all together. Dont forget what French law says you have to take/have in your car peeps.

I did a Clarkson last year and drove most of the way with my high vis on.
If anyone needs a list of what you need, either check the DVLA or AA/RAC sites they all have it on them.

Also don't forget to make sure your insurance will cover you in Europe and also European breakdown cover.

I'll take a tshirt if any get made.
 
plus u also have to carry your insurance docs and log book.

Hi viz jackets, warning triangles are compulsory. As are GB stickers and headlight convertors, although I didnt fit the converters last time just took them with me lol.

First aid kits are advised although given Gems role of looking after me, Naith, Riad and Sy we will defo be taking a first aid kit. will probably contain enough stuff to re-attach an arm knowing Gem

I took 5 photocopies of each as the french police have a habit of taking your documents and you won't see them for a few months.

A college warned me about this, he said pretty much the same thing, which is why I took copies lol
 
i was thinking about this,

i can get the kits pretty cheap through work so can just put together a kit of each of us and ill just charge what they cost to make,

That would be really good for anyone that needed a whole kit Laura, I think the only thing i don't have is a spare bulb kit, and headlight stickers. I didn't last year either and nothing came of it.

If you have GB number on the end of your number plates then you don't need sitckers either.
 
Shouldnt be an issue, goin to do some research at lunch as to what we deffo need? unless anyone knows for sure?

Read through quite a few websites and this is what I get from them

Warning triangle - legally required and must be placed between 50-150 metres away from the vehicle in case of breakdown or accident.
Hi visability jackets - Legally required, one vest/jacket for every occupant of the car.
GB Stickers - Legally required
Headlight adaptors - Legally required
Spare bulb kit - not technically a legal requirement, but the police can fine you on the spot if you can not immediately replace a defective bulb. Basically all bulbs must work all of the time, so you dont need to carry bulbs if you know your bulbs aren't going to blow.
First aid kit - Legally required
Fire extinguisher - As with the first aid kit, not technically a legal requirement although you can be fined for not providin assitance in a fire, bloody french :rolleyes:
 
just looking at it and out kit doesnt have the triangle as its standard in all the cars, but they are like an extra £5

ill work out how much it all costs but wont be untill the weekend
 
I finally got the all clear off my boss for the thursday and friday off from work (actually got on my knees :/ and having to work time in Lieu) but i'm happy I'm now coming! :approve: Have a few people up for passenger but will confirm soon!
