Spent a good few hours detailing the GW over a couple of days.

Used a shed load of iron remover as the paint was very contaminated and also gave it a good claying.

Had hoped to machine polish it as well but just haven’t had the time.

Also fitted some weinsscreen washer mist jets that I ordered from eBay.

Regarding the wrapping, I think a satin black would look very factory. It's easy to do and would take you a few mins.

I’m definitely going to go with a satin type carbon wrap. Found a chap nearby that does it so will get it sorted once funds permit.

I feel it definitely needs the pillars wrapped. Looks bare without it.

Looking great mate. I need to machine polish mine badly too. Let me no what weekend you are free say may time once I've had my clutch done and then we can make a day out of sorting out the GWs [emoji123]

Definitely will do mate.

Spent most of the day getting things done on the car.

First of all it needed a good wash having sat for 12 days while I was on holiday.

Then I replaced the door pillar decals before taking out the drivers side Recaro and replacing the top and base covers. Turned out to be a pretty straight forward job.

Just needs a machine polish and coating and then it’ll be ready for CSF19

Looks great mate, where did you get seat parts from?

Hi Chris! Hope you’re keeping well mate.

Managed to find a set of second hand ones off eBay for £200. There’s very slight wear on the bolsters but it’s hardly noticeable and they’re a massive improvement over the ones that were in there.

I’m doing good, thanks for asking! Sounds a good price that, been looking at 197/200’s of recent. What’s your opinion on them? Mpg for work is a bit off putting though.
Would need Recaro’s though ;)

I love my 200 mate. I’m on my second one now due to my RB one getting written off last year.

The MPG’s aren’t that bad imo. I get between 30 and 35 MPG on a run which isn’t too bad.

If you’re looking at getting one there’s a list of costly repairs that it would be good to try and make sure are done already.

The swivel hubs being one of the more expensive fixes.

Definitely try and get one with Recaros, even if they’re worn they can be repaired reasonably cheaply (about £150 to do the base bolster).

Fitted my new @snappy wheel today.

What a ball ache that was! Getting the airbag off of these mark 3 steering wheels is a proper mission!

Due to all the buttons being shagged on the wheel I sent Snappy to refurb I then had to swap everything over from my wheel to the new one.

Anyway, a few hours later...
