Running rich with 192 exhaust

  Clio 182
Hi,

Recently fitted an RS192 exhaust and decat to my 182 and even after hard driving on a trackday the end pipes are black. Any cars I've had before tend to have light grey deposits after being driven fast so wondered if it might be running rich or if its normal to have black deposit in the tailpipes? I'm not sure if the same happened with the standard exhaust or not, may just be I notice it more with the larger diameter rear pipes. If it is running rich is there any way to adjust the mixture or is that done automatically by the ecu?

Thanks for any thoughts,

Phill.

Thanks for the reply Fred. Do you mean this is normal for a 182 or normal once a decat is fitted?

Presumably if its running rich it won't develop maximum power and will burn more fuel than necessary? Is ther anything I can do to stop it running rich?

Thanks,

Phill.
