Saxo VTR to Clio 182 (RB content) - saxo history post 1

Hey guys, I'm Dano, I owned a 2003 saxo vtr for 3 years (please dont judge me) Signed up to Saxperience in 2009 (user name: Dano)

the saxo went through a few stages

Started out standard, boring!

de-slated the front grill, sprayed the chevrons white, carbon wrapped the mirror caps

bought some new wheels (Fox evo 3's)

Retrimmed the headliner, door cards, and parcel shelf - Black and white chequers FTW

"Widemouthed" the front bumper and got some angel eye headlights

Bucket seats / 4 point harness', stripped rear with carpeted false floor, showcage, and lighter door cards

New wheels (Dished Fondmetal 4000's) green lip, green mirror caps, and green grill chevrons

this is how she sat for awhile

sold the widemouth bumper and put a standard one back on, went out for some photos and this was my fav of them all \/

And thats all for the saxo!!

Loved everyone minute of her and will be sad to see her go, but she will be up forsale in the next week or so!

Moving on to my new thing of beauty!

Last week i went and viewed a clio 182 FF in RB with the stripes, I went out of my way to find a minter with the stripes still on, i just love them!

54' Racing blue 182 with both cup packs
72k miles
FSH, aux belt, cam belt and dephaser pulley all changed in the last 3-4 months with documentation to prove it

she is mint inside and out, bar the slightly curbed wheels, and flaking around the front center caps - looking for turinis anyway!
teeny tiny little dent on the passanger side just at the end of the side strip, and a small scratch by the drivers door handle

Shes a beaut, ill let the pics do the talking!

Interior is clean! - doubt it will last..

The saxo will be returned to fully standard before sold.. so no.. dont think so


I loved the saxo, it was fun to drive, more of a go-kart type feel then anything

obviously not to everyones taste, but its not everyones car

I'm suggesting you do NOTHING to the Clio!

I had plans to put it down 50mm on apex kit, had the kit just never got round to fitting it the widemouth was my fav part but a local boy offered me £100 and a standard posi blue bumper for it, hard to say no.. lol

Angels were awesome, but the light they gave out was abit pants!

I do miss my saxo, enjoy the clio

Im gonna miss the go-kart esque of a stripped out saxo, but the 182 is a whole new animal! ive not had it long, but it doesnt fail to put a smile on my face!

I personally loved the chequers, was different, and just after i had done it, about 3 other people copied, who reckon they did it before me, meh! lol

Hi & welcome to the forum, looks like your 182 has had some paint work on the front end at some point.

If i couldnt afford a RS of anysort then a vts would be my next choice, had 2 and loved them but WTF did you do to that!!? The 182 looks well tho! just dont f*** it up with "scene" s***e and you'll do well here...

Lasted as a long as I had the car, you can pressure wash the wheels etc and it doesn't come off. You don't have to primer or sand your wheels down either, just thoroughly clean them prior and spray on in thin layers .

I was thinking this! most of the 182s i went to look at were riddled with stone chips.. this one was imaculate.. ill get some of them ordered! Thanks for the heads up

Clio is staying subtle, Turinis, slight lower, splash of carbon here and there, nothing OTT

Awesome, my 182 wheels are "slightly" curbed on the front, and the center caps have some flaking... so it looks like we could be on to a winner for fixing them

A lot of people jumping on the wagon by here, saxo was marmite but people should look at his plans for the RB and not slate him for what he done to his saxo.
