Scotland Tour 2010 - Very pic heavy!

Back in September we embarked on our first ever Scotland Tour. The Tour would take us on a journey in excess of 1800 miles and take in much of the West of Scotland (Trossachs, Cairngorms, Isle of Skye included). It took place over the course of a week and the route was devised by the father of my friend with whom I run the Club. Despite the poor weather it was an absolutely AMAZING experience and I personally cannot wait to get up there again.

In fact, I'm hoping to get up there twice next year - firstly to have a bit of time to indulge my interest in photography and secondly to enjoy the pure and unadulterated fun that many of the roads up there provide. It's very similar to what we have here in Wales but there seems so much more of it... :)

Anyways - here are a few photos from myself and others in the group.

Thanks for the comments folks - always appreciated. :)

Having seen so many photos on here, and other sites, as well as hearing comments about how beautiful Scotland is (and how good the roads are!) we just had to sample them for ourselves. We certainly weren't disappointed and would highly recommend a trip up there if you're looking for an engaging driving experience with some stunning scenery to thread your way through. Quiet roads, friendly locals and - surprisingly - plenty of fuel stations for those times when the tank is running a little low... which happens quite a lot when you're having fun!

Great pics Andy. The trophy looks good too.
Cheers Fletch. The Trophy did me proud mate... it was completely at home on many of those Scottish mountain roads and passes; had an absolute blast (as did everyone else to be honest!)

Thanks for the continued comments - glad you like the photos and hopefully it can tempt a few folk to venture up there sometime... it's truly worth it.

Stunning scenery, typical scotish weather though
We were kind of expecting poor weather at some point to be honest... but it wasn't all bad. At times the sun was out and it was glorious (if a bit chilly). Even when the rain was at it's heaviest it didn't dampen (no pun intended) our spirits or fun.

awesome
looks like a british version of our tte trip,
we had thought about doing scotland as part of the tte2 trip next year
If you have the opportunity to incorporate it into your trip (or a 'standalone' visit) then I would recommend you do so. Admittedly I can't speak for everyone but personally I found it one of the best (if not the best) driving experiences I've had in my Trophy. It was easily as good as the Alpine passes and similar that we've done on our trips into Europe, albeit at a lesser altitude! Of course I can only speak of the Western side as that is the only area we covered.

Great shots, but your cars are way too clean ;)
Mate - Photoshop is a wonderful thing... ;)

I don't know... bouncing around some of those roads in the works van could be, er, 'entertaining'...! :)

Love those photos! Brings back plenty of memories from May when I went up to many of the same places in my old 182! I ended up doing 2200 miles in the end! Fantastic :)

Thanks again for all the comments and feedback ladies and gents - very much appreciated.

No mas, it wouldn't have been my Trophy as I'm now in South Wales. Funnily enough I did live in that area (near Stockton Heath) for many a happy year but I didn't own a Trophy back then. Unless someone has illegally using my plates...

Fantastic buddy!!! I too have been to so many of those places...........Its like a different world up there, and I am now well and truly gutted that I have not been up to the Highlands for a year now!(

Looks awesome. We were going to do something like this next year as part of our now annual roadtrip crew, but tbh I think the thrill of Europe is too tempting.

Good pics, I did a couple of Scotland tours this year, went to the Isle of Skye and then Mull a few weeks later, brilliant roads and amazing scenery :D

Be sure to pay us a visit in Wales too if ever you do get the opportunity... plenty of amazing driving roads that are perfect for the RenaultSport Clio!

Wales must be a great place to be too! I believe I should also visit Wales soon.
