Screws that hold on the engine cover

Bit of a random question but does anyone know the part number for the 4 screws that hold the engine cover on a 172?

I've lost two.

I just called up Renault and they didn't have the slightest idea what I was going on about. He said there are 6, two that go in the top and four that come up from underneath?!?! :S

I've lost one also. Apperently if you have one long bolt and one short bolt remaining you can go to most fixing wholesalers and they'll sort you some replacements out. I'm looking to get some polished silver ones as I'm gonna paint my engine cover black.

Anyone know the dimentions, I have a fixing's place near me that would probably have something...

My engine cover is a mess. I brought it off ebay. The guy told me it was mint.

It was painted in anthersite. Their are more runs than I don't know what.

Alot put it that way.

This is certainly two of them, not sure whether it's the short ones of the long ones...going to Renault at lunch time to find out...

think ive got a spare pack in the garage. will go and have a look to see if i can measure them...

short ones are 15mm long, long are 38mm (excluding the heads) and 4mm according to my crappy tape measure
