Seat Ibiza Splitter - FITTING

Just bought one, its being painted tonight - but how do i fit it on my 16v?? Does that big rubber strip thats on there at the moment need to come off? Is this easy to do etc?? Please advise as i want to try and fit it tomorrow!

I wouldnt paint it until you have fitted it (i.e. in situ) since the seat splitter needs to be bent into shape and this will flex and probably flake the paint.

Also if you are going to spray it, use plastic primer first of all, as it makes a aworld of difference to the finished result, and will help to stop it cracking
