She's sold :(

Car  RB 182
Sold my 172 last night, was quite sad really! Sold it to a local lad, he was so excited i didnt even have to try sell her, he came with cash hanging out of his pocket!

Owel, onwards and... erm... sideways? Bought a 182, unfortunately its Titanium but hey, cant have everything - it was uber cheap, both cup packs and 45k on it

Got £2700 for my 172, 2002 with 95k on, good price?

Tad cheap?

Maybe just me but I'd have thought min £3k

As long as you're happy tho!

I reckon you got a good price for the 172 given the mileage.

Don't really understandt the change to a 182 though??

Reasonable price considering the miles will put a lot of people off.

What do you think of the change? I was thinking it but didn't see the point.

Me too i was thinking about changing my mk2 172 for a clio trophy, but it will cost me about 3k for pretty much the same car.

True tbh....horrid red colour and looks like a 4x4.

Fletchers cars on H&Rs so i very much doubt theres anything in it.

Why was the 182 so cheap? Must be something.. mileage or listed? or no cup packs? Cheap even for CAP!

I did consider the trophy esp as it'd prob keep its value better than a 182FF, but just didn't want to spend that much.

Think I'm going to keep the 172, get coilovers, inlets, remap and maybe a decat, fit my ds2500s and it'll should be as quick if not quicker than a standard 182FF and for a lot less too.

Yeah good idea. i've changed quite a bit of stuff on mine, and it's transformed the car :)

I wouldn't pay more than £2700 for a 172 with those miles so i'd say you did well.

Roll on the 182.

Both cup packs, and not listed. Just needed abit of labour intensive work inc belts, but im a mechanic so no probs for me :rasp:

lol am i nobhead..

I have driven two different trophys now, and IMHO it isn't that much better than my MK2 172 on H&R coilovers as a drivers car.

lol well in that case then Renault should have bobbed down to the nearest coily shop and slapped some of them on a Trophy.

Or maybe not bothered with the 'Special one' at all?

Trophy is like the williams, a parts bin special edition - Oh the shame of having non sporty R19 bits on your car! ;)

Just my opinion FFS.

IMO the 182 trophy is a brillant car and the best handling variant of the 172/82 models, in fact i very nearly bought one brand new...

All i am trying to say is 'IMO' it isn't worth me getting myself in another 3k+ debt, as again IMO my H&R coilovered 172 handles very well.

Have you ever driven a 172/82 on H&R set-up properly??

Whoo!!,
Hello everyone, let me introduce myself.

I was the local lad who went up to faxo's house with cash hanging out of my pocket lmao.
Cheers faxo. ;)

Loving her too much!
Was driving a focus 2.0 zetec previous, but needed to sell as it was it was needing too much work doing to it.
Got 2k for the focus, Won 200 quid at poker, Got 200 quid for selling sh*t on Ebay so i thought for 300 quid it was a no-brainer!!.
So yea the miles are high and to be honest i wouldn't normally go for a car with high miles, but seems in great knick and for the money, its a lot of car.
I know Faxo drives like Miss f**king daisy aswell cause i've been behind him at the lights b4!

All in All, Over the moon with it!!
