Are you able to use shortend shocks with 60mm springs

i been looking at these but not sure if i can use them with my 60mm springs:

i dont have a clue about shocks would someone be able to shed some light please

You normally get just springs for 35-40mm drop,
anything over and its best to get shocks too.
never heard of getting shortened shocks without getting shorter springs before.
