Sounds like a 172 that is actually realistically priced. Some of the prices I see on here for 172's are mad. If you like it then haggle him down a couple of hundred quid and you will get a 172 at decent money. Almost the same for what I paid for mine and it is the same year and mileage. So a definte yay.

Shame its black though. I promised myself never to buy a black car again as the only way to keep it looking clean is to wash the damn thing every day.

Yay, but I wish it was me that was the author of the thread! lol

Isn't auxbelt around 30,000? I'm sure I've read on hear that one of them is 30,000. If so, just make sure it's been done and if not use that as a bargaining tool!

Aux belt is 36K or 5 years on a 172 so it will be coming up soon. Then cam belt at 72K or 5 years. But if you are buying a 172 then (hopefully) you prob already realise that the major services are coming up. In the end nothing you can do about it. Just get them done and you will not need them doing again for a while.

^^ LOL!!!

I say Yay!!!

Just give it a once over. 172 are very easy to modify, so get under the car and look around to see if it has any mod's.
That will give you an idea of the previous owner and his/her driving.
