Should I mod my 1.4rt alize or save 4 172

hi clio driving friends!

Im new to this so stick with me! I have a v reg dark red clio 1.4 rt alize and Im wondering whether i should mod it or try and save for a 172! whats your folks thoughts on this? Any of u went thru the same dilemma?

My mate whos on this as well (badinvincible) has offered me the wheels from his 172 and im thinking of lowering it and getting an exhaust. Subtle but nice is my idea.

Any advice would be appreciated.

if you can manage to save for a 172, and pay the insurance, then surely you already know thats what u wanna do? thats what id do!

true mate, i really do want a 172 but the cash does come down to it. cant afford one the now but was thinking is it worth modding my car just now. Crashed my dads megane a couple of years ago so still on the old insurance history. Doesnt help wen 2 of my mates have 172s and ive only got 80 break under my right foot!!

i did the same either spend/waste money makin my 1.4 look fast or buy a 172!

I chose the latter! My opinion anyway.

I think Ill just have to stop going out as much and save for a 172/182! My car aint too bad the now, can still give vtrs a run for their money!!!

Going for a test drive of the 182 soon so we will see how much they offer for my car and how big a loan ill need

Oh what Id give for 80bhp, my beast has a Fiat126bis-beating 60bhp.

Personally I wouldnt go too mad on the 1.4 mods (it will be harder to sell a modded 1.4), I think Id rather save the money for a faster car.

Why not add mods that can be taken off and put on a 172 if you get it i.e. wheels, ice etc then just put it back to standard when you sell

Never mod to make money! Waste of time, only do it if you like modding

I was in the same situation as you 2 years ago, got my clio wanted to mod it but saved my £££ now i got a lovely 206 2.0Gti with the money i would have waisted.
