Well, they keep the ccna/ccnp lot at college detached from the Hull College network, we get our own dedicated line because some of us cannot be trusted, and namely because we are always changing ip addresses and stuff.

The College computers run Novell too so its easy to get round.

I doubt that will work because you cant run .exes at college. If i understood it right.

Computer at home: putty on set up
Computer at college: putty on set up (wouldnt work)

or is it:

Computer at home: putty set up
Computer at school: using firefox

Personally I wouldn't have thought it's because you can't be trusted, more that the stuff you do on a live network would stuff things up so you've got your own
