Sky+ query

Does anyone know if its possible to purchase a sky+ box with a one off fee?, similar to below

Ive currently got freeview, but want to be able to record. Im just doing my homework and trying to decide if id be better off financially to sign up to sky+ rather then buy a freeview recorder or freesat recorder.

Im not looking for any more channels than what freeview offers tbh
