Slow acceleration Trafic (dci 100)

My dad's 51 plate Trafic has very little power under 2k, even less than you would normally expect from a Turbo diesel - no black smoke so EGR should be fine and intercooler isn't split, what else to check before paying Renault to plug it in to diagnostics?

I know its not a Clio but they do a Clio dCi 100 I think...

Oil and filter change a few weeks ago, no lights on the dash.

try changing that seen a few suffer from air flow meters aswell

may be worth changing the diesel filter aswell while you are at it
