good vid there mate. will have to get decent qualities of mine up. i was taking eau rouge completely diffrently, i should have got out behind 1 or 2 of you.

i was too, i was taught to stay to the right down the hill against the wall then at the last moment swing left over the left hand rumble strip and then stay left on the bottom part of the hill then move across to the right towards the mid/top and then swing left to have your left wheel hit the left rumble strip at the top, seemed to work.

wasnt taught anything really, was just taking it how i thought worked, and followed other ppl through a few times. not always the best idea tho as i was braking a lot more then.


but i should def have followed some of you guys around a bit.

when i went back in 2004 I had tuition which helped a lot, the tutors were very good. The ones on this day in the renault cars seemed to be holding back a lot and I think were told safety first and don't go too fast etc.

I always try and get tuition at a new track though as it will gain you more time knowing the correct lines that having a faster car.

There are a few funny lines at Spa where you think you should be to the right when i reality you need to stay to the left until the last moment to catch the apex right, thats where the tuition becomes invaluable, so it was unfortunate proper tuition wasn't really available.

thats a bummer, i loved that filling station, well cool have no attendant, so slick (well as long as your card works i guess lol).

I enjoyed it more the second time as I knew the track and lines this time and it only took me a session to get back into it, so you need to do it again to enjoy it fully now you know it better.

Great video.. I did exactly the same, oversteer at 95mph.. then off over the vodaphone sign.. lol

I was lucky then, the guy I was with came out behind the pace car... let it have a 30 second lead and then took off. He was going faster than I though was possible and there cannot have been much more he could have given... it was helped that he was racing that girl driving the blue R27 too. We caught the pace car before the end of the lap too.

I got out the car grinning from ear to ear. I don't know what he raced normally but he was an amazing driver.

think i may have been in the clio with the girl at the time lol..she absolutely leathered it til the meg came past lol.
