Someone clear up: mk2 172 0-60

looking around, i see sites saying 6.9, some are 7.0 and some are even 7.2 0-60

this site under "Car Specs" says the 172 is 1035kg and 0-100kph (0-62) is 6.9


so thought i'd look at 182, weighs 1095kg and is 7.2?! ok slightly heavier car (cant think why? heavy twin exit exhaust?!) but 10bhp more power....?

so what is the official 0-60 of my mk2 2002 172

prob about 6.9-7.0, 182 engine are stil tight

The mark 2 172 weighed about 1110 kg and the Mark 1 172 about 1100 kg.

Yeah but 10bhp isnt worth a w**k wouldnt even notice the difference, i think the diff in 0-60 times between a 172 and 182 is prob down to the wider better tyres as standard

Evo Magazine's tested 0-60 time for the the Mk2 172 is 7.1secs. For the 182, it is 6.6secs.
The 172 Cup is quickest mind, at 6.5secs.

I think all the Renaultsport Clio's will hit 60 anywhere between 6.5 and 7.0, although in road tests the 182 does seem to be slightly quicker, all the test ive seen get the 182 to 60 in under 7 and the fastest being 6.3!
