we all love a spoiler ;) but do some cause more drag increseing fuel consumption  im considering removeing mine in atempt to save some fuel or will it make no diffrence

other ideas include leaveing it at home an striping it out

i doubt it would make a noticeable difference to be honest.

While on the subject of spoilers, why has the 197 cup got a spoiler when the original marketing point for the 197 was the rear diffuser and that it didn't need a spoiler because of it????

would a mk2 ph2 get the same mpg :S

out of curosty on a scale of 1-10 how crazy do i seem :D

I thought this topic was going to be about people ruining film endings ;)

I think the Cup spoiler is mostly cosmetic, but it looks good.

ANY clio spoiler will do very little in the way of providing downforce. They're all 90% for cosmetic reasons and taking them off will do next to nothing as far as increasing your mpg goes! :)

and to be fair a clio is fwd, so why have a spoiler on the back? look at the old escort cossie, the one without the whale tail was actually faster

True it probably won't be creating any downforce, but it's possible that it could be making the airflow behind the car cleaner, therefore reducing drag...

Need to get it in a wind tunnel tbqfh.
