Steering wheel bolt

got my wheel to get onto the steering column in replace of old one.

Am petrified of the airbag going off when the battery is connected again but hey!

Looking in the haynes, it menioned about gtting a new bolt for securing the wheel at the back - is this necessary? I mean, once the old wheel is out Ill have the bolt from that I cant understand why they advise using a brand new one?

Anyone done this and know why?

this is rubbish claire - just bolt it straight back on. The airbag will not go off providing you have disconnected the wires and re-connected them properly. Make sure the battery terminals are undone and then re-connect them once everything has been connected back up properly.
