Stiffening up Standard Engine Mounts?

So i've been having a think about trying stiffen up the standard mounts.

Can you fill the engine mount with some stiff silicon? I'm sure i saw somthing ages ago that someone on here did it but cant remember who it was. So the silicon would still allow the engine to move but not as much

Anybody have any ideas as to how to stiffen it up. Maybe put two strips of metal either side of the rubber parts so the engine doesnt wabble as much as there wont be as much space to move.

Does anybody get what i mean?

Oh and i know i could just buy the k-tec mounts but cant afford them right now
