STOLEN Washer Jets FFS!!!

Just been out to get lunch, went to wash the windows (stationary) and the light jets squirt out about 4ft in front of the car. Get out to find both of the jets have the swivel part missing. The stalks are there but the jet itself is gone, both gone cant be a coincidence think some chav must have nicked them.

Can i get these from Renault or will i need the whole thing.:dapprove:

I've just not bothered for that exact reason, they don't do anything and it's amusing getting the car infront when in traffic hehe

Same as Garath, mine used to pop out in very cold weather cos the jets get iced up ! Last I knew they were around a tenner, but if you want to replace the whole thing its a bumper off job ! Easier to tease out the ball from the new jet and pop it into the existing one on the car !

Yeah if it was just one i would have thought it had fallen out. but both? they were working fine on the drive home last night so for both to fall out on the same 6 miletrip to work. Not so sure?

Will the car fail an MOT without headlight washers?? Id rather have the same as the cups with the little covering cap instead

I know someone with a cupra who fitted aftermarket ones no problem

Dunno, just find it hard to believe both would suddenly pop out in the space of 6 miles? I am 100% sure they were both there last night

The balls pop out really easily. I lost two on my 172. Rather than take the bumper off to replace them just buy a new stalk from Renault, then pop the ball out and insert it into the existing stalk with a little superglue on it, angle it correctly and leave it. Jobs a goodun.

Its just the jets in the top thats missing. the main stalk is still there.

I changed mine without taking the bumper off, it's a bit fiddly to get to the nylon nut at the back but a lot easier than taking bumper off. Just unscrew and peel back the front wheel arch lining.

Ahh found a post about this ! same has happened to mine, water squirts all over the show, lost my two little balls. Glad it can be easily sorted then, Christmas job i think ! for my dad not me

Little things like that would piss me right off! I mean what the hell does someone want with a washer jet for a clio? Only to put it on their own car? And nine times out of ten if they even had a car they wouldnt need to steal things, tramps!
